Home to some of the mot beautiful, weird, wonderful and magical creatures from all over the world, Blackpool Zoo really is a great day out for the family!

In fact, it's at Blackpool Zoo that you'll find over 1000 animals from Aardvarks to Zebras, and with such a strong passion for conservation, it really is a hidden gem spanning across 37 acres of parklands and lakes!

Want to know something else amazing about Blackpool Zoo? The are home to the only family of gorillas in the North of England! Kids will love seeing those beautiful cretures - including the grand silverback - in person. Don't miss heading to the Orangutan Outlook next door, where you’ll find their family of amazing and lively Bornean orangutans!

Another highlight of Blackpool Zoo is Project Elephant Base camp which is home to a herd of six elephants, and was specially designed around the needs of the mammoth species which is great for those stunning (and endangered) creatures.

Blackpool Zoo also offer a full schedule of talks, feeds and displays, and also has fun interactive walk-though exhibits such as Lemur Wood or Rainbow Landings. With additional animal experiences too, there's no time like the present to get WILD on your next family day out in Lancashire!

Follow the M6 to junction 32 and take the M55 to junction 4, then follow the ‘brown elephant’ signs to the zoo. From the town centre or promenade, follow the ‘brown elephant’ signs.
