Worden Park is situated on the outskirts of Leyland and is about a quarter of a mile from the town centre. It offers more than 60 hectares of meadows, woodlands and fields for the whole family to enjoy.
The park has a children's playground with swings, slides and climbing frames for the kids to burn off some energy and a model railway too! Perfect to visit if you're a train enthusiasti.
You'll also find a craft centre which has lots of activities to get involved in, a mini golf course and an orienteering course too.
You'll find historic gardens and mazes, kitchen gardens and endless trails for you to go exploring, build dens and play a game of hide and seek. The gardens are at the centre of the park and were laid in the 1850s. There was a fire in 1941 that broke out in Woden Hall and destroyed much of the interior and now today just leaves the Derby Wing and outbuildings.
If you need some time to refuel, why not head to the cafe and pick up a refreshing drink and bite to eat! For the more active kids, there are sports pitches too where you can play a game of football!
