Barrowford Park has a Green Flag Award and features a bowling green, war memorial, children's playgrounds and plenty of lakes, woodlands and wetland area which is a have for wildlife.
The pong at the park is populated with moorhen, ducks and coots, so see what you can spot! There's also two playgrounds with 18 pieces of equipments and suitable for people with disabilities too. One park is suitable for ages three to five year olds and the second park is for older children.
The lake has various waterfowl, birds and you may even see ropes of Toas spawn in the spring or catch the waterfowl on the ice when the lake is frozen. You can also feed the ducks too, just make sure you special duck food like seeds.
The garden around the war memorial is also a butterfly garden with a variety of plants and butterflies. You may even see some nesting woodpeckers too!
The morial gardens are at the centre of the level area, and there's plenty of seating areas if you need to relax and take in the surroundings. You'll also find a heritage centre which has lots of tourist information, a gallery and a cafe if you're in need for a bite to eat!
