The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders Museum has lots of fascinating history to explore! Discover more about the regiment through the museum's collection and talks and explore the themes rooms.
The story of the Regiment is brought to life through themed stories in the museum. They have a vast collection of objects that trace back to th 1639 for you to explore. Discover Surgeon Munro's Kit, the Communion Silver and the Thing Red Line Centrepiece to name a few.
They have lots of family friendly trails too. Follow their pony mascot and he explores the museum and find interesting objects and answer the questions along the way. You'll receive a sticker in the shop once you've completed the trail too!
The museum is also a great visit for school and groups!
You can book an interactive, hands on workshop to make the most of your visit and they last for around 90 minutes. They can accommodate primary, secondary ages and more.
You can choose from a World War One of Two workshop giving students the opportunity to explore objects and learn about what life was like for a soldier on the front line.
You'll even get a tour of the museum! Some of the veteran volunteers may also be there to tell you about their experience serving too.
