David Marshall Lodge Visitor Centre is a great location for a family adventure and is one of the most popular locations within the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park. You'll find the longest zip line in the UK here, plenty of trails and a wildlife room where you can watch the ospreys and squirrels.
The lodge is just a few minutes from Aberfoyle village centre and is the flagship centre for activities. From the lodge you can enjoy stunning views towards Bend Lomond and Loch Ard Forest.
Entry to the forest is free and there's a cafe which allows you to take in the views. For the little ones there are plenty of play areas along the route of the Waterfall Trail and at Lumber Jill they have created a maze out for trees for children to enjoy!
The paths around the lodge are accessible, so everyone can enjoy the relaxing and tranquil area! There are varying length trails for all ablities too and there's plenty of places to sit and relax and see what wildlife turns up!
You'll also find the popular Go Ape here as well for a tree top adventure and a bird-eye view of the forest. Test you navigation skills and have a go at orienteering and sit back and relax in the cafe!
