If you want something unique, exciting and memorable for your family day out in Melbourne, why not try the Melbourne Skydeck!?
Melbourne Skydeck is actually the southern hemisphere’s highest observation deck, which can take you up nearly 300 metres above ground to enjoy impressive city views below. In addition to the observation deck, you can also enjoy some pretty amazing experiences including VR, and a theatre!
There is also Bar 88 where you can enjoy drinks and snacks too!
Let's talk about "The Edge" first!
Here you can test your bravery and push the boundaries of thrill-seeking as you step into the Edge. This world-class Edge suspends you in a transparent glass cube, projecting out from the skydeck where you are suspended 300m above the streets! Eeek!
Then you have the "VR Plank", where with two feet firmly planted on the ground, you'll then feel a slight wobble of a thin Plank. With your VR headset on, you can feel the rush as you’re transported 285m above Melbourne city and you can slowly edge your way along! Make sure you watch out for those pesky pigeons and try not to fall! A highlight is when you take the plunge and ‘zipline’ through the streets of Melbourne.
Of course, a visit to Melbourne Skydeck wouldn't be complete without checking out the Voyager Theatre. Through 8K vision and 6D sensations, you can trek all the way up Everest!
Who knew there was so much to experience high about the streets of Melbourne!
