Longshaw Estate is a great chance to discover the spectacular views of the Peak District, as well as the ancient woodlands, parklands and wildlife. 

You'll find some impressive red deer and interesting birds living here along the network of footpaths and bridleways. It's a stunning backdrop for a family adventure, especially if you're looking to get outside in the great outdoors. 

They have family walks for all abilities and Longshaw is covered with a maze of footpaths. There are three waymarked walks all starting from Longshaw Lodge, just follow the coloured arrows! The rangers work hard to maintains the paths, but they be challenging if there's heavy rain, so take care. 

Discover the tumbling waterfalls at Padley Gorge, or sit and have a picnic at Froggatt Wood. The Longshaw Meadow is a haven for wildlife too, so make sure to bring a camera with you and take some photos! 

There is a second hand bookshop with a great selection of books for children and adults and a cafe onsite serving hot and cold drinks and cakes.
