The Climbing Works is the brainchild of climbing enthusiasts Sam Whittaker and Percy Bishton. They wanted to create a space where climbers of all levels and abilities could come together and share their passion for climbing. The result is a gym that's not only the biggest bouldering centre in the UK, but also one of the best.

One of the standout features of The Climbing Works is the sheer size of the gym. With over 12,000 square feet of climbing space, there's something for everyone here. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a complete beginner, you'll find a challenge that's just right for you.

The gym is split into two sections - the Mini Works and the Main Works. The Mini Works is designed specifically for children and beginners, with walls that are lower and easier to climb. The Main Works, on the other hand, is where the serious climbers come to play. The walls here are higher, steeper, and more challenging, with routes that will test even the most experienced climbers.

You don't need to be a seasoned pro to enjoy The Climbing Works. In fact, the gym is designed to be accessible to climbers of all levels. If you're a beginner, you can take advantage of the free induction that's included with your entry fee. During this induction, a member of staff will teach you the basics of climbing, including how to use the equipment and how to climb safely.

Once you're feeling confident, you can start exploring the gym and trying out different routes. The gym has a wide range of climbing challenges, from easy climbs that are perfect for beginners to more difficult routes that will challenge even the most experienced climbers. And if you're feeling particularly brave, you can even try your hand at the famous "Woody" - a 45-degree overhanging wall that's not for the faint of heart.
