Magna Science Adventure Centre

About this activity

Magna Science Adventure Centre allows you to get hands-on experience with interactive exhibits as you explore, air, earth, fire and water! Splah in water, work a JCB and even explode a rock-face, there's so much to do for all science enthusiasts and a lot to learn too! 

The building is huge too and around a third of a mile long! There are four pavilions with over 100 hands on exhibits that cover the elements. In the air pavilion you can create patterns with air cannons, feel the wind and play with a tornado! In the fire pavilion you can create a blaze, melt steel, shape crystal and explore how heat causes change. 

In the earth pavilion dig and rock your way around earth and control machinery which is great role play for kids. Finally, the water pavilion has a huge steel water wheel that powers the area and you can jet and get wet here too as you discover the world of water. 

There's also a water park Aqua-Tek! It's a splash park adventures with water cannons, spray arches and more during the Summer and it's great when the weather is nice and hot! Sci-Tek is an outdoor adventure play park with spinning bowls, roundabouts, slides and more and kids can use their imagination and burn off some energy. 

The Big Melt Show is a must see too! You'll be taken on a journey of the might steel and its workers as one of the original electric arc furnaces is brought to life with light and special effects. As well as this, you'll learn all about the steel heritage through the exhibitions and displays. 

There are lots of learning opportunities to be had through science and the centre makes science fun for everyone!
