Dapdune Wharf is an award-winning visitor centre that tells the story of the navigiations and the people who lived and worked for them. The area is a sanctuary for wildlife with plenty of walking trails and parklands to explore.
The waterway runs for nearly 20 miles through the heart of Surrey and it's a great opportunity to get out with the family and explore all of what Surrey has to offer!
You can enjoy a boat trip of a walk along the path, looking out for wildlife along the way! You can enjoy a trip from Dapdune Wharf and they run Thursday - Monday during the open season and trips take around 40 minutes.
There are two trips to choose from, the time traveller and the river watch. The Time Traveller trip takes you upstream into Guildford town centre and the river watch goes downstream towards Stoke Lock..
If you didn't want to explore on boat, then there are many trails along the River Wey, with different lengths for all abilities.
There is a tea-room too that seves lots of hot and cold snacks and you can even sit outside by the river and enjoy the spectacular views!
