About this activity
Kids, are you ready for a hands-on day of discovery with exhibits that you can actually touch, play, explore, and discovery - that were created JUST for kids?
Well, the Look Out Discovery Centre features over 90 of these super fun, hands-on activities all based around science and nature, which means (parents you will love this), that kids can be learning whilst they play - and they might not even realise they are learning!
Kids can create animations, play around with shadow puppets, dam up "The Stream" and learn new and wonderful things!
What's also great about The Look Out Discovery Centre is that they also think about everyone who wants to visit. As a result, they have created Autism Friendly Sessions with reduced capacity, to ensure kids who need it can explore with plenty of space, in their own time.
Have younger explorers in the family? The hugely popular Toddler Days are filled with extra special activities for playful and curious kids up to 5 years! They can enjoy a day of fun crafts, along with sensory activities and even face painting that comes with a different theme each month!
Discovery, play, learning and plenty of family fun. What's not to be excited about!?

The Look Out Discovery Centre FAQ’s
The centre has baby changing facilities. There is also a microwave in the coffee shop to warm milk.
The Woodlark's Cafe is great for for takeaway, with hot food, hot and cold drinks, and snacks.
If you have toddlers, keep an eye out for Toddler Days which offer special themed days with toddler friendly activities!
The Look Out Gift Shop is full of fun pocket money items with great gifts, books, and cards. Definitely worth a visit!
They run Home Educator Days, where special shows make up part of the learning!
There are toilets and baby changing facilities. There is a fantastic super loo for visitors with physical disabilities, which includes a hoist.
