Abinger Roughs

Abinger Roughs is a hidden woods with ancint trees, grasslands and plenty of opportunities to explore, just off the North Downs and Pilgrims Way.

You'll see oak trees that are over 30 years old, and it's home to many creatures for young explorers to find and look for and allows you to reconnect with nature. There are shady paths that are all fairly flat and clearly marked, so don't worry you won't get lost! It's also a great area for a picnic too. 

Run around and enjoy the great outdoors, whether you want to explore on foot or bring your bike with you! There's also natural play areas that the kids can clamber around and even play hide and seek too! 

There is a two-mile circular nature trail that great for those new to exploring the countryside. Just pick up a leaflet or follow the posts from the car park to start your adventure! If you wanted to venture further there's also a waymarked tree trails through the woods too. 

Enjoy quets moments and take in the sights, sounds and smells of nature in the woods too and listen to all of the resident birds.
