About this activity

Polesden Lacey is an 1600 acre estrate with gardens, an Edwardian house and endless space for the little ones to play! You'll have views of Ranmore Common, parklace and more, with a landscape that has remained unchanged since the medieval times.

The house itself has stunning gold interiors and a collection of books and paintings. Imagine what life was like as you explore the house at your own pace. They have lots of rooms open fo visits, including the lobby, central hall, saloon, library, gun room and many more. The volunteers are on hand to share more detail about the history and what you can find inside.

The garden also has something to offer in every season too. In Spring, they plant nearly 250,000 new bulbs and the garden comes to life with daffodils and more! They also have a croquet lawn too that has been a place for play and you can even hire some equipment from time to time and play yourself!

The Kestral play area is made using wood from the estate, with swings, tunnels and giant nests to get closer to nature. There's a rabbits warren and a bired fox den which helps to provide inspiration for children to get outdoors and a place for imagination to run wild!

Enjoy the mirrors and sensory panels to feel and hear the musical chimes and there's lots of different types of swings too! The play area is safe and helps child development for all ages and abilities!

They also have lots of seasonal events all year round too. Make sure to check out their website so you know what's coming up before you visit.
