The Cholsey and Wallingford Railwayis a preserved rural branchline that was opened in 1866, and you can enjoy a heritage ride on a round trip, which is fu for the whole family!
The round trip takes around 45 minutes from the town of Wallingford to Cholsey. The line runs through the countryside of South Oxfordshire and links the riverside towns. The coaches are from the 1950s, and are hauled by the Heritage diesels or by a visiting steam engine.
You'll be able to look out for Cholsey Church which is where Agatha Christie is buried, spot the Red Kits soaring ahead and explore castle ruins, museum, shops and more.
The town of Wllingford has so much history too! You can see the medieval bridge over the Thames, quiet back streets and lots of surprises!
The railway is a haven for wildlife too, from beautiful coloured flowers to butterflies, wildlife and more, see what you can find as you look out the windows!
