Witch History Museum Salem
Where are we going today?
The Salem Witch Trials are such an important part of American history - both good and bad. Over 13 months, hysteria swept through not only Salem, but 34 towns and villages in Essex County!
The Witch History Museum is a fascinating museum that tells the stories of the people involved in the trails. The family can hear all the stories of 1692 as you walk through the forest, visit Old Salem Village, enjoy historically accurate live presentations and view 15 life size scenes that depict real stories from the trials!
Across the trails, hundreds of people (and even dogs!) were accused - and these all filled the jails as they awaited trial. The stories (some quite graphic!) of the hangings and punishments won't be suitable for young kids, but the older ones will find a new and fun way of learning in the exhibits and artifacts.
Why read about history in a book when you can experience it right in the town that it happened...and see and hear the stories in person.
The Witch History Museum will take you back in time to 1692 - are you ready for this historic adventure that didn't have a happy ending for a lot of people in Salem!

More informative and immersive than the Salem Witch Museum. It was also less crowded as an added bonus! The information from the two museums combined helped us obtain a well rounded history of the trials.

Wow....as in not so great. Antiquated displays, tour guide not the greatest, worst of the 3 museums on the combo ticket.

This was part of a 3-place visit ticket. None of those places are good. This one was boring. Not much to see. Just a big basement with different scenes and dim lighting.

Should not bear the name of museum. A short tour through poor exhibits with some cheesy explanation by a 'guide'. Don't waste your money.

This museum is part of a package that includes 2 other attractions. This exhibit stores with a 5 minute brief history of life in Salem around the time of the massacre, and then there is a 20 minute tour in the wax exhibits in the basement. While in the basement, your given additional history behind each of the seens. I wouldn't pay to see this place alone, but it was a good exhibit as part of the packaged deal.
The tour guide made up some facts by the way.
