Have you ever wondered what life on a farm house would have been during the 1900s? That's over a century ago!
Well, if you visit Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead, you can find out!
The Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead operates seasonally, and is a great place to bring the family - from the kids to the grandparents! The farm is designed to depict a century old farm, complete with a one room country schoolhouse, and an old time fishing pond.
Sounds pretty neat!
When you walk around the school house, imagine what learning would have been like there! The architectural features mimic those of the past, and even the slate blackboard and coat hooks came from an abandoned school in Kansas city.
Look out for the working pot-bellied stove!
This Kansas attraction also has what kids love - ANIMALS!
In fact, they have over 200 of them. They have just about any animal that would have been found on a farm of that era - from goats, cows, miniature horses, ponies, bison, longhorn sheep, and prairie dogs! Kids will love taking part in their hands-on activities, where they can feed the goats, take a wagon ride, or rub the belly of the cows.
The pony rides are perfect for kids aged 3 to 10 years, as they enjoy being led around the figure eight trail with an experienced attendant.
With birthday parties too, a visit to Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead really does make a great day out for ALL the family!
Enjoy!

Hot Dogs, sandwiches, treats...yum!
Keep an eye out for their special events across the year, from chicken runs, to Halloween fun and fishing tournaments!

They offer a Kansas History School Tour, or a Farm Tour - both of which give you a great farm experience!
No outside food and drink are allowed, but they sell bottled water and deli sandwiches
If you have special needs, just speak to staff and see how they can assist you!
