Each year the Blue Valley Recreation Complex hosts thousands of youth and adult baseball/ softball players, fans and coaches from local and regional areas. League and tournament games fill the complex March through October. Other sports offered include dodgeball, kickball, basketball, volleyball, golf, tennis, fencing, martial arts, and ice skating. Adapted and integrated leisure activities are also provided for those individuals with disabilities. Offerings include sports, swimming, cheerleading, exercise, dances, cooking, gymnastics and much more.
Fun activities for everyone in the family! Special events held annually throughout the year include: Family Fall Festival Daddy/Daughter Date Night Fishing Derby Touch-a-Truck Bowl-a-Thon Mom and Son Night Out Pitch, Hit and Run Punt, Pass and Kick Dance Recitals Special Olympics Sports Day Ongoing youth programs at the Activity Center include aquatics, gymnastics, dance, enrichment and fitness. Enrichment classes encompass cultural/performing arts, social and life skills, technology, and language arts.

Open Gym and Open Swim is offered to walk-in guests at specific times and days. Otherwise, the Activity Center is busy with numerous classes.
In nearly every case, registration is required for people to use the facilities. Most classes and activities are held over a period of time, in sessions—such as swimming, dance, and gymnastics lessons, sports leagues, etc. Registration is needed for one-time classes and special events as well.
The Activity Center has snack and drink vending machines. The Recreation Complex has eight concession stands.
Healthy Eating For healthy eaters, granola bars, nuts, pretzels, and bottled water are available.

Contracted instructors teach classes with gentle encouragement and positive reinforcement. Many classes foster hands-on learning and the development of cooperative social and analytical skills. Sport coaches adhere to principles of fairness and good sportsmanship.
All facilities are wheelchair accessible.
