West Wight Alpacas allows you to enjoy a close encounter with alpacas! It's one of the leading Suri Alpaca and Llama stud farms in the country and is home to around 60 alpacas and 13 llamas along with lots more animals!
The farm is set within 23-acres of countryside in the village of Wellow and you can go trekking with the adorable animals and get to your know cushing from your pronking!
The farm has one lots of awards and championships so they know lots about the animals too! Enjoy a leisurely stroll around the farm and get up close and personal with them.
The knowledgeable guides will tell you all about the alpacas as they'll guide you around and you may even witness an alpaca birth too! Remember to wear suitable footwear and clothes too!
As well as the alpacas, you can also go and feed the lambs in the Spring. Feed the triplet and orphan lambs and lear about them too! The activity is included in the entry fee too.
The minimum age to walk an alpaca is eight years old. After choosing your animal you'll be ready to go! The walk takes around thirty minutes and you'll get a photo opportunity and the chance to feed them!
The activity is very relaxing too and you'll enjoy all of the views along the way and get to learn more about the incredible animals.
They are situated on the B3401, just off the A3054 which runs between Yarmouth and Shalfleet. The Southern Vectis no. 7 bus to Alum Bay/Newport stops right outside.
