About this activity

Goodleaf Tree Climbing brings you a unique, award winning tree top adventure on the Isle of Wight. It's a recreational tree climb centre, offering fun and adventure for all ages! You'll be take on a tree climb in the beautiful sands of Appley beach. 

All of the tree climbing takes place on one huge oak tree and they welcome thousands of climbers every year! The staff are on hands to help show you the techniques to use the equipment and climb the tree safely and they welcome climbers over the age of eight years old. 

They can tailor your experience for you too! So whether you want to get right to the top of the tree of relax in the hammock, they're on hand to make your experience enjoyable. The main two hour experience takes place at Appley Park and the 70ft oak tree is magnificent and has been growing for our 200 years. 

On your visit, you'll learn all about the trees and get a love for the great outdoors in a uique way! 

You don't need to bring any equipment as they'll provide it for you and they'll do a short health and safety session for you before you head to the top. Once at the top you can enjoy beautiful views across the Solent to the Mainland, there's even time for branch walking and swinging around at 40 feet in the air! 

You don't need to be a strong tree climber as using their special systems and techniques you'll climb the rope on your own. You can even join their delicious climbers flapjacks once you've descended!

Goodleaf Tree Climbing FAQ’s

Goodleaf provides drink and flapjack for all climbers.

There are public toilets (including a disabled toilet) located within the park.

The tree climbing system is extremely adaptable and they have specialist equipment and training that allow them to provide an inclusive, accessible tree climbing experience.
