About this activity

The Recreation Complex in Colchester is hugely popular with families, and when you visit, you'll know whey!

Commonly known as RecPlex, this family friendly experience features great activities for those active kids, as well as a fun spray park to cool off on those summer days!

For those active kids, there are a number of sports fields that kids can practice those throws, hits, and skills on the track. RecPlex features a little league field, as well as a T-ball field, and softball field.

There are three lit tennis courts for the family, as well as a basketball court. Let's not forget about those lit horseshoe pits too! Kids will love the swing set too!

Feeling playful? Then don't miss the numerous play complexes that you can find in RecPlex. There Are two distinct sets of play equipment in the Pavilion and the Splash Park - one is geared for kids aged 3 to 5 years, and the other is perfect for 5 to 12 year olds. They can slide, swing, play, climb and explore until their heart's content!

The third play area is within the skate park, and is geared towards more mature kids, like those who might visit the skate park. And yes - there is a skate park so grab those boards!

And of course, one of the popular experiences within RecPlex is the spray park! This seasonal water feature is the perfect place to cool down on those summer days. The park is self-operated and unsupervised, so make sure you stay with the kids.

Games, water fun, playgrounds and lots of park space to run around in - it's so much more than just a park in Colchester!
