Get your wings ready! You are off to 6805 Visitors Circle, in the sunny Orlando, Florida!

Where are we going today?

Come fly with me...come fly, let's fly away....!  And we don't mean in a plane, we mean....YOU!  Yes you can fly!

At iFly in Orlando you can experience excitement, adrenaline and adventure in this really cool flying experience.

It is totally safe for kids, exciting for the teenagers, and dare we say it challenging for adults!  Parents - prove us wrong!

Here you soar on top of a column of air, held inside a vertical wind tunnel.  The superior technology allows you the multiple fans located in the top to produce a wall-to-wall airflow which is completely smooth and so very fun to fly in!

The air is completely controllable, so you will be in good hands the whole time.  They have professional instructors on hand to really make you feel safe, and give you the best experience possible.

Want to know the great thing - you don't need previous experience to fly!  At the center you will learn how to control your body to enable you to get up in the air smoothly.  You will be provided with all of your flight gear, as well as the fundamental skills you will need.

It really will make you feel like a bird...or Superman...or a plane....whatever takes your fancy!

Best for those family members aged 3 and up.  For those younger than 3, at least you don't have long to wait before you can give it a go too!

Teachers corner

iFly is a great way for kids to learn about science and physics, so they have a really great physics programs on offer. Here you get a 40 minute talk with a Q&A to ask all those hard science questions (try and see if you can stump them! We don't think you could!), as well as a one minute flight to experience hands on what you are learning.

They are also provided with an exam for their classroom.

.

I'm Hungry!

You won't experience motion sickness, so you are fine to grab something in the area before you fly! There are plenty of options.

Any Top Tips?

There are weight and height restrictions so just make a note. Those less than 6 feet tall must weigh less than 230 pounds, and those over 6 feet tall must weigh less than 250 pounds. .

Need a little extra help?

All flyers must be in good health and physical condition. If you have any neck or back problems, you shouldn't fly. Some of the iFly centers can cater for people with disabilities, so be sure to call before hand to check. They have had paraplegics and amputees fly, so anything is possible!.

Can I get one of those?

You can buy professionally taken photos at the end of it!.

More information

Your flight experience will last for about 75 minutes in total. Be sure to arrive an hour before you are booked to fly if you are a first time flyer. Return flyers aim for about 30 minutes. .

Went here on a whim. It was great. Looks scary but you can do it! Have faith! Also, get someone to film you. Not the cheapest activity, but totally worth it!

This was so cool! I paid a lot of money but it was worth it! I'd go again but I don't see myself ever going to Florida ever! I absolutely hate Florida but this place rocked! If you are forced to go to Florida against your will then make sure you stop by here, it will make your trip less of a pain. I love this indoor skydiving place!

We tried iFly @ Orlando for my brother's 21st birthday. I found the place easy to get to with enough parking to accommodate all the patrons. The parking is free, which is a nice perk. Upon entering the facility we were greeted by the front desk staff and instructed to register at the nearby computers. The entire registration took us less than 1 minute (we pre-registered online at home). After the registration we paid for the fly sessions, and were told to go to the "wind tunnel".

We climbed several steps and we sat in the waiting room, where the previous session was coming to a close. The waiting room is directly in front of the wind tunnel in which you fly. The tunnel's walls are transparent so you can spectate the people currently in flight. When we arrived there was a previous flight in effect, so we got to see what we are getting ourselves into.
After few minutes in the waiting room, our instructor Caleb, came out and lead us into the changing room. Once there, we were given flight suits, helmets and goggles. Then our instructor played an instructional video for us, and then gave us some "hands-on" instructions. After the "training" we were lead back into the tunnel, where we took our seats in the waiting area for the flyers, while our friends and family made their way to the spectators waiting/viewing area. There was 4 fliers in our group.
Each flier in our group had signed up for two 60 second flight sessions. There are different packages that you can sign up for - for details of different packages you should consult their website, as there are several different options.
We each took turns flying in the wind tunnel. The instructor helps you get into tunnel and then helps you fly. Flying is quite easy and it's just a matter of getting the hang of the moves that the instructor showed you during the "training" session. After the 60 seconds is up, the instructor helps you get out of the tunnel. If you have not signed up more flight time, you wait until everyone in your group finishes their sessions, at which point you have the opportunity to buy additional sessions for $20 for additional 60 seconds (prices as of May 2013).
When everyone is done, you go back to the changing room where you return the equipment and get the opportunity to buy pictures of your flight or a DVD of your entire flight. You can chose to have the pictures printed or emailed to you.
The entire experience is pretty cool. We found our second flight session to be better than the first one. Reason for that is that you are already familiar with the moves, and you know what to expect. But also because the instructor takes you up and down the tunnel with him, as well as the twirls you around the tunnel. That takes this already awesome experience to a totally different level.
Overall, we had a great time and definitively recommend this attraction to all.
The staff is super friendly and they make sure you have a great time.
In addition we would like to express special thanks to our instructor Caleb, who made our experience super memorable. Since this was my brother's 21st birthday they also threw in an additional 60 second birthday session. That was absolutely awesome.
