Museums often have the best events and DuSable Museum in Chicago is one of my favorites. They usually have an art and wine event every month and several exhibit previews and openings throughout the year.
In previous years, I have seen national artists such as John Legend perform at the DuSable Museum. In April, Delroy Lindo will give a speech.

This place is awesome, the art is so beautiful. You really get to know all about African American History. The Museum also hosts a lot of awesome events. I went to one recently and it was all about art and embracing culture. There were artists there drawing and showing their talents. The event was great and it was very enlightening. I would recommend this museum if you are looking to be immersed with history. I would also recommend the events as well.

I went to the DuSable museum for the first time on MLK day. They had a large variety of events to honor the King, live radio broadcast, guided tours, food, short films, music and a monologue of the life of MLK. It was incredible. I now have a membership.
