Where are we going today?

There's no place like home! There's no place like home! There's no place like the All Things Oz Museum in New York either!

This fun museum is the museum arm of the historical foundations of International L. Frank Baum as well as All Things Oz, and it was created to educate families just like you on the writings of the very talented L. Frank Baum. Don't know who he is? Well - he wrote The Wizard Of Oz!

The All Things Oz Museum let's you explore the life of L. Frank Baum - maybe you will be inspired to create your own masterpiece too when you leave! As you look at all the objects, it's great for the kids to use their imagination as to what the stories behind them might be. What tales they could tell!

Of course, you can't have a museum about the writer of The Wizard Of Oz, and not have anything on display from the films and merchandise that all were inspired by it. Have you seen that 1975 film "The Wiz"? Well, the glasses worn by "The Wiz" himself are on display, as are some rare items and artifacts.

All Things Oz Museum are also part of a number of events and festivals that occur across the year, so it's worth seeing what's on - like the Oz-Stravaganza - which is, yep, all things oz!

You never know - you might come away from the All Things Oz Museum feeling creative, and inspired, and whether you go home to watch that original 1939 classic, or start your own fantasy filled story of wonders and magic, at least you will have also had a fun family day out!

There's no place like home!

We recently moved to Kansas and had family visiting. Although we had no small children in our group, we still thought visiting the museum would be fun. We weren't disappointed at all. The museum offers a large collection of Oz movie and author memorabilia, books, and videos all of which were really enjoyable to explore. Did you know that the actress who played the Wicked Witch was only 36 at the time or that Shirley Temple was also up for the role of Dorothy? If you are a fan of the movie or books, you definitely should check out the Oz Museum...Read More

I thought it was very cool. I just moved from NY to Denver to go back to school & on my way down I70 I came across the OZ museum. Me & my girl decided to stop since we love the movie so much. It took a little bit to get there once off the interstate but It was a very cute town with real nice people. Once in a life time opportunity I felt. Defiantly worth checking out if near the area

This Oz Museum is a lot of fun and I highly recommend a visit. Before going into the main touring area I stepped into a Tornado simulator. It was fun to feel the 85mph winds in side the wind tunnel. The tunnel is clear as well so you can watch other people inside if they choose. The tour itself has many artifacts and OZ themed merchandise that has been preserved and is on display. I was a tad disappointed that a lot of the items are recreations (You won't find the ruby slippers in this museum but you'll find two recreations) and not originals...Read More

Great little museum displaying one of a kind artifacts from the original movie and telling the tale of its creation and inevitable claim to fame as one of the most famous films ever created. A must see for any Wizard of Oz fans, and great for kids!

We had a great time at the museum. The staff was very accommodating to our particular requests. Well worth the modest entry fee.
