Looking for something super fun and adventurous to do on your family day out? In New York State? Introducing NY River Adventures at Tall Pines!

You and the family can get out into nature, listen to the birds, look out for the sweet wildlife, relax, or even try your had at fishing for dinner! You can explore, and even have a nature filled picnic lunch.

NY River Adventures offer a number of tours that you can choose from, so you really find the perfect one for your family.  Tom and Huck's Fun & Fishing Float is a fun customized trip, either 2 -3 hours or 3 - 5 hours, which is great for kids as there are islands to explore, fossils to hunt, surfing, fishing and swimming.

This trip also includes a free day pass to the Tall Pines Campground where kids can have full use of the facilities - what an amazing day! At the campground there is a playground, in-ground pool, arcades, and planned activities. How much more fun can you have!

For those families loving the warm colors of fall, the Fall Foliage Trips get you out paddling under the auburn leaves, or perhaps you want to extend your trip for more than a day? The Injun Joe's Multi-Day Paddling Trip can either be a fun 1 day experience, or you can customize your trip with 1 to 3 days of camping.

All boating is leisurely, and there is always time for checking out that amazing scenery, and always that bit of horseplay!

To get to Tall Pine Adventures, make sure you use the GPS Address: 100 Tall Pines Lane, Bainbridge, NY 13733 (Chenango County) rather than the mailing address.

From NYC (about 2.5 hours), take the NY State Throughway to exit 16 and continue on I-17 towards exit 84. Head right at the end of the ramp onto Rt 8 / 10, and follow Rt 8 for 18 miles, then turn right at the blinking yellow light at the intersection of Rt 8 and CR 35. The Campground is about 1000ft on the left before the bridge.

NY River Adventures at Tall Pines FAQ’s

Chippy's Restaurant & Fun Center is right at Tall Pines Campground, and you can enjoy the tasty foods like pizzas and pancakes if you book the Tom & Hucks Fun tour because it includes time in the campground.

Make sure you bring the items they list, including dry change of clothes, bathing suit, sneakers, sun protection...then that makes your trip more exciting and relaxing.

There is a country store at the campground that you can pick up some fun nic-nacs, including treats and crafts. (Shhh...and ice cream!)

When any class heads out to NY River Adventures, the kids will learn all about the nature first hand! The orientation program and river trip will be a great jumping off point for their lesson in history. Float past old Indian battlefields, learn all about the wildlife, and kids can look out for amazing birds like cranes and eagles. They can also dig into the past as they hunt for fossils!

Make sure you bring plenty of water, and you can always pack some healthy snacks in your bag to ensure you keep that energy up on your trip - very important! You should bring your own packed lunch.
