The Geneva Public Library offers many programs and activities for children.
Messy Story Hour is on Mondays at 10am. This program includes stories, songs, and fingerplays followed by a sensory based activity. It is geared toward toddlers and preschoolers.
Open Play is on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30-2:30pm. We open up our story room and get out extra toys to provide your high energy one a safe place to play and use up some energy.
Baby Lapsit is on Wednesdays at 10am. Bring your bouncing baby to a fun, interactive program that includes singing, fingerplays, music, and a story.
STEAM which stands for science, technology, engineering, art, and math is our focus on Thursdays. On alternating Thursdays we have Discovery STEAM from 5:30-6:30pm which allows K-5 to explore STEAM wiht experiments, art, building, and more or Girls Who Code from 5:30-6:30pm which teaches basic coding skills to girls in grades 3-5.
There will be more programs in the coming months. We always have toys, coloring sheets, and of course, books available for young people to explore.
The library is a great place to bring your children. It is free to obtain a library card and that card can be used to check out books, videos, and more.
