King's Landing Historical Settlement is a living history museum set in the 1800s.Listen for creaking wagons pulled by trotting work horses, the whooshing of hoop skirts, and the distant melodies from lively fiddlers and dancing townsfolk. Wagon rides and barn dances, traditional kids' games: it's far from dry education, with even a shot of domestic farm animals for the kids to get up close with.
Kings Landing is filled with activity as costumed characters help bring the place to life, watch as they go about their day-to-day lives! Head to the onsite restaurant for a both traditional and modern snacks and refreshments and take a walk in the Kings Head Inn garden and take the in natural surroundings.
There's are over 70,000 artefacts on display and is one of the largest in Canada! That's impressive! When open in June - October, they have lots of farm animals too. Like horses, pigs, cows, sheep and geese who all love to interact with the visitors, so don't forget to stop and say hello to them!
If you want to take a gift home with you or to a loved ones, there's two places on site for you to pick something up, all crafted by local artisans. You might be able to pick yourself up some traditional candy too!
