About this activity

St. Michaels Museum and Genealogical Centre is an integral part of the community of St Michaels and the surrounding area and is there to celebrate the unique history through preservation and education.

Represented by historic artifacts and histories, the museum provides a place for all ages to participate in activities and appreciate the location's history. The local residents have donated all kinds of objects over the years commemorating their famlies years in the area, some quite unusual too! There's postcards, photos, household items and lots more so you can see how things have changed throughout the year.

Tours are offered each Saturday at 10am and last around 90 minutes with around 1.5 miles of walking, so make sure to bring comfy shoes with you! For the guided tours they cost $20 for adults and children under 18 will go free. If you'd like to take a tour yourself you can download the tour guide and head out on your own!

The exhibits are houses in a series of 19th century frame buildings, with most of the furnishings, paintings and more given to the museum by the residents over the years.
