It's a place where science is made FUN through hands-on exhibits and interactive activities - yes, it's the SMUD Museum of Science and Curiosity!

At this very family-friendly attraction, kids can examine fossils, dig up prehistoric beasts in the dino dig pit, travel to distant galleries and explore the interior layers of the Earth. Not bad for a days play!

The Powerhouse Science Center Design Lab is open for 4 hours a day, and it's where kids can take up a challenge that might have multiple solutions! The engineering design can be explored, where kids can map-out, build and test a prototype solution.

Nature is related to science, so it makes sense that at the Powerhouse Science Center there are animals too! The Nature Discovery Exhibit features indoor animal habitats, hands-on activities, and of course, animals! Mammals, reptiles, amphibians and birds all live and play in this space, and offer fun educational opportunities for kids to learn all about them!

Don't miss checking out the various events that the museum holds too, including Storytime, astronomy events and Planetarium fun!

They also host family workshops too, covering a different theme each session - a great way to spend time as a family!

Science IS fun, and it's all there to be enjoyed at this Sacramento attraction!

The curiosity cafe offers drinks and snacks, or grab something in the area before or after your visit!

Weekdays, weekends and MOSAC events often sell out early, so reserve your tickets as far in advance as possible for the greatest availability.

The Planetarium shows are for those over 4 years, and happy 1pm and 3pm weekends. The Design Lab runs 3pm - 4:30pm weekdays, and 12pm - 4pm weekends.
