What is there to do?

Kids - who's ready to play, discover, create, experiment and have a great time with fun hands-on activities!?

The Kansas Children's Discovery Center is a place of discovery and exploration - a place where kids can learn through "doing" - with everything very much there for them to touch, push, pull, smell and explore.

The exhibits focus around math, science and the arts, and every activities focuses on critical and creative thinking, as well as promoting their physical and motor activities.

For those creative fingers, the Art Gallery is fun, messy art on display that kids have created.  Kids can there also experiment with paints, light, rainbows and mobile!

The Build Gallery are for those future engineers where they can construct amazing towers, bridges and other architectural masterpieces! They have blocks, wood, tools and a whole heap of materials to create whatever they want!  A great introduction to algebra and geometry too!

The Careers Galley lets them explore a range of real life jobs! They can take turns being the physical, the customer, or even the owner! They can repair rusty muddlers or even create recipes for their very own restaurant!

Toddlers will love Grow - the fantasy playhouse where they can develop their sensors in the sensory garden, play ball and enjoy a puzzle garden!

For those super little sprouts, they have padded floors with various colors, textures, mirrors and cubbies for them to explore, crawl, and play on and with.

Seem a shame to stay indoors?  Then head outside to their Outdoor Adventure!  Kids can get out on the hiking trails, or perhaps plant and tend to their very own vegetable garden, there are hills to climb, forts to build, sand castles to construct and bones to excavate!  It's going to be a busy day!
