Sunset Zoo is home to over 250 animal species and YOU get to visit them all on your next family day out in Kansas!

Here, kids can observe these beautiful animals in naturalistic habitats complete with information boards posted to get the most education from it too.

From fish to reptiles, mammals and birds, Sunset Zoo has many of your favorites, and even some you may not have heard of!

Kids can come face to face with the beautiful Amur Leopard, or see the Colobus Monkeys play. There are cheetahs to impress with their speed, and swift fox to admire.

Head Down Under and see the wallabies, or visit the plains of Africa as you learn all about the zebu and Giant Anteater.

From the tiny dart frog, to the colorful flamingo and intimidating vultures, there is a whole world of learning opportunities waiting for the kids!

During summer you can drop in on keeper chats, conservation talks and feedings including chimpanzee, sloth bear and otter, giving kids an even more in depth insight into all the creatures of the world.

Don't miss the events that Sunset Zoo hosts across the year, from festival fun for Boo at the Zoo for all those Halloween loving families!

A fun day out in Manhattan, Kansas, where you can take a walk on your WILD side - with the wild!

How much does it cost?

Adults: $5

Children: $3 (Ages 3-12)

Free Under: 2 years.

Need a little extra help?

The Zoo is wheelchair accessible, however inclines near the gibbon and tiger exhibits are steep. They are happy to offer golf cart tours of these areas to guests with two-weeks advance notice. Service animals are welcome at Sunset Zoo and we appreciate any advance notice, but it is not required. All service animals must be certified, easily identified by their vests and remain on a secure lead at all times.

When can we go?

Open 9:30am - 5pm daily (March to Oct), then 12pm - 5pm rest of year

Open 360 days a year, but closed Thanksgiving Day, the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve / Day & New Year's Day.
