Kids can learn about history, art and culture during their visit. The American Gothic House Center showcases the life of Grant Wood, as well as the history of that iconic house.
There are galleries and exhibits telling the story of his life, including artifacts from his life.
There are props available to encourage families to pose in front of the house and create their own unique portrait! How fun!
The house was actually build back in the late 1800s, and now it’s listed on the National Register of Historic Places – pretty impressive! The painting was completed in 1930 and since then, the house has been an attraction for those interested in the world of art.
