At Blank Park Zoo you can do just that and so much more in this WILD family day out in Iowa!

Blank Park Zoo features a host of amazing animals for the kids to learn about, explore, and enjoy! They can learn all about the life expectancy of the Aldabra Tortoise, or see the adorable Golden-headed Tamarin up close.

Kids can watch the suited penguins play, or hear those playful Sea Lions cheer!

Blank Park Zoo is also a great way for kids to learn all about conservation, especially with species such as the Eastern Black Rhino. It's family fun and learning all in one!

It's not just animals at this adorable zoo that kids can experience. In season, they can take to the tracks on the train, or watch the world go by from the carousel!

Have you ever enjoyed a camel ride? Well, you don't have to go to the desert to do that anymore - not at Blank Park Zoo!

Blank Park Zoo FAQ’s

The zoo really support conservation as they work to raise funds to support projects from around the world that are dedicated to the same conservation ideals

Concessions inside the zoo are run by Johnny's Italian Steakhouse and open April to Sept.

When you arrive, check what the animal feeding times are so you can plan your day around them!

Of course there is a gift shop! Bring that pocket money to take home those animal-themed gifts, toys, educational items and more

With education classes, field trips, visits to the school, safari camps and so much more, it's the best way for kids to really learn about these amazing animals and conservation!

If you want to bring your own food, there is a picnic ground at Blank Park, just north of the parking lot.

You can rent wheelchairs, and the zoo is accessible so everyone is welcome!
