Dating back to the late 1800s, Beacon Park is set in more than 70 acres of beautiful formal gardens and open space. The museum gardens is the formal part, and has stunning floral displays, trees and statues too!
The park is a great place for children, with an enclosed playground, large play areas and more with slides, swings and climbing frames! In the Summer, children can go for donkey rides, have a go at the peddle boats on the pool and drive on the mini cars!
As well as the activities, there's lots of woodland walks and pond dipping available so see what wildlife you can find! The boating pool is a great place to feed the ducks and there's food available at the Ranger Station for them. There's lots of wildlife information boards around the park too and an outdoor classroom!
On your way around the park, you'll notice lots of statues. There's the King Edward VII statue, Captain Smith Statue and the Chancellor Law's Fountain with figures of lions around it.
If you wanted to play some sports, theres an 18 hole pitch and putt course, foot and disc golf and football pitches for a kickabout too. You can even hire a tennis court if you wanted to brush up on your skills or practice your tricks at the skatepark which welcomes bikes and scooters too! There's so much to do, whether you want a relaxing stroll or get involved with some sports.
The A38 and A5 meet in Lichfield and provide direct access to the Midlands motorway network: M42, M50, M40, M5/M6, and M1.

There are numerous pathways in and around the park, some of which slightly slope but are wide enough to allow wheelchair or mobility scooter users to pass each other with ease
