Techniquest

About this activity

Techniquest is a leading science discovery centre, with plenty to do, learn and explore for all ages! Their mission is to embed science into Welsh culture through interactive activities and provide a range of service to schools too! 

On selected days they have toddler days! This mean all pre-school children can take part in lots of science related activities. There are bright colours on the exhibition floors and will be encourage to explore and play too. 

Did you know they also have an after hours sessions for adults?! Let your inner child get creative and play with the hands-on exhibits and get stuck into lots of fun and educational activities. 

They have lots of live science shows too. Explore the weird and wonderful world of bubbles! Learn how they're made and what happens when we fill them with different gases as your questions will all be answered by the presenter. You'll be transfixed as you watch the bubbles float and see the ones that glow in the dark too! 

In the planetarium you'll learn about constellations, planets and stars. You'll be taken through space for a closer look at the beautiful sights and see exploding stars too. 

They ofter run special events too, one being rocket science! You'll discover how vacum voids affect bodies, whether sound and light can travel through space and study samples of rocks that you may find out in the solar system.
