A visit to the Stratford Butterfly Farm will actually see you enjoying a family day out at the UK's LARGEST tropical butterfly paradise!

Whatever the weather, rain or shine, the whole family can enjoy the unique experience of discovering hundreds of the world’s most beautiful butterflies, all flying in an exotic environment filled with tropical blossom, splashing waterfalls and very pretty fish filled pools. 

The Rainforest Flight Area is where kids can stroll through the wonderfully unique and exotic rainforest environment, where they'll be surrounded by a lush landscape!

The Discovery Zone is where they can observe the amazing life-cycle of a butterfly, learning all about how they live. Don't miss looking at the Emerging Case as you may even see a butterfly hatch from its pupa!

Kids can see fascinating creatures up close at the Minibeast Metropolis exhibit, teeming with life and an exhibit that houses one of the largest insect collections in the country!

This is also where you can see snakes, reptiles, amphibians and other invertebrates.

From seeing Leafcutter Ants up close, to beautiful Wildflower Gardens from June to September, and an exhibit that will take you to the breathtaking Mayan rainforests, the Stratford Butterfly Farm is a wonderful nature filled experience for all ages!

Stratford-upon-Avon is a short drive from Junction 15 on the M40 with access to the M42, M5, M6 and M25. There is a large public car park outside the entrance.

They are five minutes’ walk from the town centre, just over the river Avon foot bridge, opposite the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. The butterfly signs will take you from the foot bridge to the entrance.

Stratford Butterfly Farm FAQ’s

The cloakroom is available to leave coats and jackets with limited availability for buggies and prams on a first come first served basis. Toilets with baby changing facilities are available in the Discovery Zone

The Nature Inspired Gift Shop sells chilled drinks, confectionery, crisps and ice-creams. Nearby there are also plenty of nearby cafés, pubs, bistros and restaurants!

They love to have schools visit! For those studying a particular topic, you can let them know and they will tailor the tour to your needs!

The pathways are flat and level throughout the Butterfly Farm. Toilets with disabled facilities are available in the Discovery Zone. There are benches in the Discovery Zone and by the waterfall bridge.

Your visit is for approximately 60 to 90 minutes once you have checked in. You may go round the one way system as many times as you please and includes the use of the outside gardens.
