War Memorial Park in Coventry attracts thousands of visitors every year and is around 48.5 hectares in size. There are formal gardens, sports area, golf course and plenty footpaths and play areas for a great family day out.
On your visit you'll find historic landmarks, sculptures and themed gardens with plaques located at the site for you to read up on the history. There are play facilities for all ages, from swings, slides to climbing frames and even a gravity bowl! There's a sandpit with play equipment for the littler ones to enjoy too.
During the summer months, there is a splash n play park, with 36 water jets and features that the kids will enjoy running in and out of! They even have a drencher too! It's a great way to cool down when its hot.
You'll find a small brick built aviary that houses a number of birds and a skatepark with a ramp, pipe and more for all skating, blading and biking.
The war memorial itself is 90 feet high, and inside there is a chamber of silence to remember those who were killed in the two world wars. There's also around 800 memorial trees dedicated those who lost their life and in the visitor centre there are photos too.
