The Hayling Island Donkey Sanctuary is a beautiful experience for kids when they visit. It's here that you can find a place of care and peace for beautiful ex-working donkeys, as well as those donkeys who are just in need of help and a happier life.

The Hayling Island Donkey Sanctuary began life with just two donkeys - Ollie and Rusty - who spend their time giving kids rides on the seafront. Needing respite, they were brought into the family and thus a sanctuary was born.

A visit to this amazing place kids can learn what donkeys can teach us, and how delicate yet strong these animals are. They are magical! Did you know that donkeys can give you a hug too? If you visit the sanctuary you might just experience it!

If you want to support the sanctuary, a visit is a great way to do this but you can also adopt a donkey as well. For a small amount per year you can know you are looking after a beautiful creature - AND you can visit the donkey too!

Make sure you book online ahead of time for your visiting time, as there are limited slots on the days that the sanctuary is open.
