Van Dusen Botanical Gardens is a spectacular 22-hectare (55-acre) garden in the heart of Vancouver that has matured into a botanical garden of international stature since opening to the public in 1975. The mild Vancouver climate allows the cultivation of an outstanding plant collection which is a delight any time of the year.
There are gularl public art, lectures, family adventures and courses all throughout the season! They have lots of programs for families who are looking for hands-on activities and educational experiences, helping you and your children get into nature! Enjoy the beautiful birds of Blodel, where you can take a break from the rain under the tropic dome and admire the colour and flashes of flights above. You can come dressed like a bird and bring your curious questions on the fun guided walk.
There is also a preschool storytime. Where children will get to hear all about the animals in an interactive way and provides an educational and fun experience all in one! They also run nature camps with a blend of science, games and crafts, allowing children to playy and find out more about the space which are tailored for children ages 5 - 10 years of age.
The VanDusen Botanical Garden parking lot is located on West 37th Avenue, just off of Oak Street.

Accessible parking spots are available and parking is free. There is also an accessible drop off loop just off of Oak Street at the front entrance of the Garden.
