About Park and Tilford Gardens

Park and Tilford Gardens covers 3 acres and offers eight separate theme gardens including the Rose Garden where there are nearly 300 plants, in 24 varieties! It's a great opportunity to get out in natura, bring a picnic and admire the changing colours of the garden all year round.

It in the garden you'll find the Totem Exhibit. The third generation carver - Cody Mathia, started carving at the ages of 10 and mastered the art by the time he was 15. He started selling his work to support his family, and in 2008 he entered the world of silver and gold jewellery carving. Today, the North Shore features many landmarks bearing his name and you'll see some of his work at the garden itself.

Friends of the Garden consists of a group of volunteers who came together and volunteer their time at the garden. The annual Spring Garden Sale is a highlight of the year, with all proceeds going towards the gardens and its maintenance.

Take a trip to these wonderful gardens, visit the rock pool, herb garden, native garden and more and admire the wonderful plants and flowers all around.
