The Black Dragon be a comin', Cap'ain! Arrrr there she blows! This very cool ship is a modern day replica of a proper 17th century galleon. Above the water she is a true pirate ship, just like the ones of Black Beard and Captain Jack Sparrow as they sailed the stormy seas. Below the water, she is a modern day sea-worthy vessel with the latest marine technology, so you don't have to worry about a thing - not even the cannons! Even they are "fired" through a computer with a very cool range of special effects so you can really feel like you're on a pirate ship in the middle of a fierce pirate battle.
You will be surrounded by a crew of professional pirates on every cruise, who will entertain you with their stories and sea shanties of yesteryear. You can also enjoy some face painting, super fun and sometimes challenging treasure hunts (here's a hint - 'X' marks the spot!), cool off with water pistol battles, dance to the charms of the pirate music, and even get involved in some sword fighting! All of it ensures family fun of all ages!
The fun isn't just on the boat though! If you arrive about 30 minutes early you and the family can join in with the pre-entertainment fun! Fire eating, impressive magical displays and other entertainment will keep you amused until you walk the plank onto the ship!
Keep an eye out as you sail - you might even spot the dolphins playing with the boat in the water below!
Arrr me harties...get sailing on 4 decks of pirating family fun!
How much does it cost?
- Adults$36 to $53
- Children$25 to $38 (under 12)
- Free Under: 2 years.
When can we go?
Sat - Thurs 11:30am or 2:30pm departure. Sunset cruise 6:30pm.
Off season is Sept 1 - May 26. Cruises 1pm and 5:30pm.
Sea shantie sodas, snacks, beer and wine are available on board, as well as other alcohol options for the parents. The pre-entertainment will be held at "Black Jack's" where drinks and food will be available. .

We took this cruise on 8/11/14, and it was wondertful. My 3 1/2 year old son was really into it. My 6 1/2 year old daughter also enjoyed it very much, as she got to see dolphins while on the cruise.
I would highly recommend this to familieis with small children. They will love it, and it is worth every penny.

They had an amazing pre-show that was so funny and a little dangerous. The cruise was great for the kids and they even got a certificate making them honorary pirates

We were invited to celebrate the birthday of a 2 year old family member. As soon as we boarded the ship, we were continuously harassed and ridiculed by the crew for the entire duration of 3 hours. Not to mention the hefty $53 per adult charge. We were very disappointed with the entire show and found the crew to be extremely unprofessional. I would never put my children in an environment where the show promotes profiling and bullying. I have never been so humiliated in my life. This may have been the highlight of the trip for my kids. The crew their did an absolute great job entertaining the kiddos. Water gun fights, sword fights with the pirates, face panting , dolphin sightings , treasure hunt running through the ship and more. There was a 30 minute magic show before the ship left that the kiddos enjoyed as well. If you have kids from 4 to around 11 years old this is something worth they will love.

Previous reviews are extremely favorable, this leaves two options. Either they are falsely promoting themselves or the show is just in a bad slump. Regardless of the circumstances, I hope this review will help prevent unsuspecting customers from belittlement.
