    To begin with, the hotel smells stale and old as soon as you step foot in the lobby. I was ok with it smelling stale and old as I understood it a water park. My room was full of roaches crawling up the wall, and one of my colleague’s bed had bed bugs. He got bit 5 times. Room services is not that great either. You ask for somehting in specific and they bring up something totally different than what you originally requested. Parking is also limited. At check out time, they told me everything was ok and I was set to go. The next day, I checked my credit card statement that I had given them, and they charged me an extra night. I am still waiting for the refund.

    Went midweek. Crowd was ok. Workers were a little young but not rude. Lazy river was awesome. Wave river also good. Beware the torrent slide. Ride a double tube and hold onto glasses tight. Rode down in single tube and flipped at end. Lost glasses and bumped head. Lifeguard didnt respond. We went over to her and she checked me out. Then said to go to lost and found. We waited and went back to end later. Lifeguard was someone who wasnt there earlier. Knew right where lost glasses fall and pulled them out from behind net they got caught in. Had fun but that slide is evil.

    Their customer service is very poor. We were kicked out from a covered seating area that did not have any label that it’s for rent or has been reserved, and this happened to other customers as well. Someone did not do his job or the system’s lack thereof, of labeling reserved seating areas, and the staff were rude and insensitive in asking you to pack up and leave. Had we not demanded our right to a high standard of customer service, our vacation would have been totally ruined. Thanks to Sergio Lopez for listening to our grievances, for being apologetic, and for realizing later on that we were there to enjoy our vacation. The manager, Ric Legre, was not helpful and was rude not only to us but also to Sergio and to other customers as well. I hope Schlitterbahn SPI will train their managers and staff to be courteous, friendly, and respectful. Putting labels on rented seating areas would also prevent customers from being asked to pack up and leave.

    More relaxing that the other parks and not as large. The are no big towering water slides to waste hours or more in line but the water slides they had a wait of 15-20 minutes in the water and were mostly shaded. My kids actually liked the indoor parks tubing better and spent much more time there. We stayed 4 days.

    Almost as good as New Braunfels. Long lazy river ride, the Rio Adventura, with several specialty chute rides connected by this. I see many complaints, of Schlitterbahn and other places, that start with a variation of “the staff was so rude”. To all of those people, I suggest you take a look in the mirror, as well as adjusting your expectations. Bring the family, bring the ice chest, bring a good attitude, have some fun.
