Kids - this area is just for you! The Discovery Center features a super fun outdoor play area which incorporates natural elements so you can literally play in nature.
There is green space for your creative play, and large windows that let the natural light in, as well as green techniques to preserve the quality of the building so you know your playing is safe for the environment! Perhaps you can imagine yourself to be a brave zoo keeper, or a wild explorer!

Especially for the kids are youth education programs like Buckets of Fun, for 2-5 year olds where they can explore fun elements of nature using simple tools like a bucket and a song, or fun school science programs suitable for all grades.

To get to 600 Sunset Drive in McAllen, take expressway 83 to 10th St exit, and travel south. Turn east on Sunset Drive and keep going to the historic gates and the parking lot.
Quinta Mazatlan offers programs for all grade learning, where they can learn all about nature and have outdoor fun! All science programs are curriculum driven, and they also offer summer camps and Saturday programs for families.
