We LOVE educational days out that are also fun, and even better if they involve animals too. Welcome to Space Farms Zoo & Museum! Located in the heart of New Jersey, this unique attraction offers families a chance to delve into a world filled with both natural wonders and historical treasures.
Your New Jersey family day out can come alive with nature and history at this popular museum, where excitement awaits around every corner. Here, kids can explore their wild side as they step back in time and head for the wilderness all in one day. The zoo is home to more than 100 beautiful acres of peaceful countryside that offer plenty of room to picnic and play. These expansive grounds are also home to over 500 wild animals, ensuring a day packed with discovery and learning.
Kids can come face to face with beautiful creatures from all across the globe, including exotic jaguars, leopards, tigers, and lions. There are those we know closer to home, such as bears and bison, and of course, those adorable domestic animals we know and love, such as sheep, goats, and pigs. Don’t forget to visit the cheeky primates who are always ready to entertain!
Once you've enjoyed your animal adventure, head to the Space Farms Museum, which boasts 9 large museum buildings. It's here you can explore over 50 antique cars, as well as motorcycles, old horse-drawn carriages and sleighs, and one of the largest private antique firearms collections in the country. It's a great way to explore American history, where the stories unfold right in front of your very eyes!
