The Horse Drawn Sleigh Ride was disappointing this year because we couldn't see a thing except darkness! We have done this as an annual family outing for years. This is the first year they have not offered daytime sleigh rides. They said they hired a new guy to run the barn and he only wants to do night-time sleigh rides. It is advertised as a "tour of the resort on a horse-drawn sleigh ride". You cannot get a tour at night because the path taken is not well lit. The fun of it for us has always been seeing the beautiful mountains, trails, resort,...Read More

Disrespectful staff.... Prices are too high.... This Pennsylvania ski hill knows it is one of the better places around, so they know they can charge $77.00 to ski all day on a weekend. It is frustrating that they do not offer a 4 or 8 hour lift ticket, or night skiing only. They force you to buy the big ticket. People don't spend this much on a ticket in the Rocky Mountains. But 7 Springs has a monopoly on the area and they know they do.

I have been riding here a few times a week for the last 12 years and have been a pass holder the majority of those years. This year will probably be the last year i purchase a pass because of price increases, in which they change nothing and make the mountain somehow less friendly every year. I feel sorry for any family that has to shell out a entire paycheck just for a day on the mountain. The snow report is never accurate, DIck Barron claims 4 inches of fresh snow and 2 inches of machine made, meanwhile they may have received a trace of snow,...Read More

My husband and I spent the night of October 16, 2014 at Seven Springs. Our meals were included in the fall package as well as tickets for Falling Water. The hotel was immaculate, comfortable, and upon arriving, I attempted to make a cup of coffee, but couldn't get the Keurig coffeemaker to work. I called the front desk and within minutes, housekeeping was there and showed me how to do it. They asked if there was anything else that they could do for us and said that they would be there till midnight if we needed anything. The meal at Helen's...Read More

It is advertised as a "tour of the resort on a horse-drawn sleigh ride". You cannot get a tour at night because the path taken is not well lit. The fun of it for us has always been seeing the beautiful mountains, trails, resort, etc in all its snow-covered glory. But at night you can see pretty much nothing, and of course it is much colder at night as well.
Seven Springs, if you are reading this, please go back to offering at least one or two time slots for the sleigh ride in the day time---or even only on Saturdays if you cannot do it every day. The lady I spoke with said that most people want to take the ride at night, but our daytime rides have always been full with others waiting back for the next ride, so the daytime rides were definitely utilized when they offered them. She also told me that they don't have to take customer suggestions because they are much bigger than Wisp and Snowshoe so they can do what they want. Surely she does not represent the attitude of all of Seven Springs, but that is at least her take on it.

I can't stand your facility, the people you have running it, or the prices that don't match the crappy vibe I get while I'm there....

They are building as a reputation for being big on being well-known for their terrain parks. While these are nice, they are not worth the added money for people who just want to ski, not ride off a super-pipe.
It's PA and if you want to ski, you know you don't have many choices. 7 Springs knows this too. It's more of a drive, but go to Snowshoe or Holiday Valley instead.
Lastly, the guy in the ticket center is the grumpiest guy I have ever seen working at a ski resort, cheer up.

I feel sorry for any family that has to shell out a entire paycheck just for a day on the mountain. The snow report is never accurate, DIck Barron claims 4 inches of fresh snow and 2 inches of machine made, meanwhile they may have received a trace of snow, and made snow in one area of the hill. The parks gave the mountain a good reputation, but have been in downward spiral and are no where near what they could be or were a few years ago. Parking is ridiculous, and the staff has no idea what they are doing . During the week they keep the north gate entrance closed for no apparent reason, just to make you drive an extra mile to get into the resort. Ski Patrol constantly harasses people to see their passes, less people would sneak on the mountain without lift tickets if they dropped the prices to something more reasonable. Also threaten to pull passes or lift tickets if you ski off the trail. Claim its for safety but make you sign a waiver saying you are responsible for your safety and not them. All and all if your planning a trip with your family, drive a couple hours south to snow shoe or north to holiday valley. You will get a far better experience for your money.

The meal at Helen's was excellent, the service above par, the breakfast was the best we ever had in our travels anywhere. The fall colors were at their peak. It was a wonderfully relaxing and beautiful experience. I highly recommend it to anyone needing a pleasant getaway.
