Two day trip to try out this resort late in the 2013-14 season. I normally ski out west; Colorado, Whistler, the Sierras, but I have been looking for a place nearby where I can go for a day or two and keep my skills up and just have a little fun. This filled the bill; everything is considerably downsized from big resorts, but there is a lot of variety and quite a few ways down the mountain. The runs are short, as you would expect. During the week, lift lines were almost non-existent. For experienced skiers, this is a good warm up to get your ski legs back in shape before heading to the big slopes. I had a good time, but after two days, I’d done it all and was ready to head home. Food selections on site are limited- plan on bringing your own or going off site.

Overall fun experience, but they need to step their game up. My friend Marshall and I went here to have fun snowboarding and that part was a blast, we fell a lot and learned just as much. The food and the prices are way overpriced and there is not amazing service within the hotel itself. We were both college seniors at the time and were looking forward to going to a bar and meeting some girl boarders. However, there is no bar at the resort. So we asked the front desk lady and she gave us one that was half of a mile away and told us that they have a drunk bus. That was enough for us so we walked over there expecting to get a ride back. We knock back 4 each and start talking to the bartender and he told us that the drunk bus hasn’t been running that week. So we said whatever and knocked back 5 more each, then we walked back. Neither one of us remember that walk back or what happened the rest of the night. We woke up the next day extremely hungover, there was food in the room, I was missing my hookah, and we didn’t know how much we tipped the bartender. We had to check out at 11 and decided to go to McDonald’s to sober up. Then we went across the street to get some shut eye before we went to board. A white bus pulled in front of our car and woke us up because of how the sun bounced off of it. So we said screw it and went to go snowboarding. The instructor was very kind and helped us a lot. The slopes were nice, and the people were all having fun as well. Great experience, but they need a bar, better food, and better service in the hotel.

Great place close to the D.C. metro area so you cant beat that. Great if your season pass holder going multiple times but expensive if not a holder. I think the prices are average for the fun you have and are worth it. It does not snow everyday here so expect man made snow more than powder. To many people complain about ice lol what do you expect it to be BC or Utah.

We just had our son’s wedding at Boulder Ridge Lodge at Ski Liberty and couldn’t be happier. I would give it 10 stars. They had some construction going on at the time but it didn’t interfere with our day at all. From the planning through the actual day things went perfectly. MaryAnn was with us from rehearsal dinner through the wedding and it was fantastic. Loved it. Thank you Ski Liberty.
