Where are we going today?

Do you know what we LOVE about rock climbing? It's SO much fun, it's great to keep you active and healthy, and it's so great for improving skills such as balance, strength and coordination. Sounds pretty great to us!

If you're in Massachusetts, then Central Rock Climbing Gym might just be the place for you if that all sounds like your kind of family day out!

Rock climbing is a great sport for the whole family, and the staff at Central Rock Climbing Gym are on hand to really give you the best time possible. They have state of the art facilities, including some pretty cool climbing walls!

The routes on the wall are color coded, so you know that you will be starting on ones suitable for your level. It's also so rewarding for kids when they can see themselves improving, and slowly working their way up to the harder levels.

If you are just starting out, or want to improve what you already know, it's worth checking out the classes and lessons that you can take at the gym. There are beginners classes, as well as women's technique classes, lead climbing introductions, advanced classes, and even yoga and fitness classes!

If you are really taking to climbing, the gym has competitions across the year, so you can really see what you are made of. We think you'll do pretty well!

Parents, don't worry. When your kids start to climb, they will receive a safety briefing and technique instruction, so you know they will be safe. They will also be attached to the wall with ropes, so no matter how high they get to, they won't have to worry.

So why not take the family to climb new heights on your next family day out. You never know what you might achieve!

I have only been there once. The prices are pretty good. I think for the pass and all the gear it is about $25. I went with a buddy of mine and we had a blast. There are a bunch out routes which, from what I can gather, they change often enough. Friendly staff and a fun environment. I plan on going back real soon

Been a member here for two years now. Great staff, incredibly friendly crowd and everyone is always helpful. They have quite a few excellent youth programs available, from hosting parties to competitive teams making it a great venue for families. The addition of gyms in Western MA, Metro West and now CT make Central Rock one of the most connivent and best values for indoor climbing in the region.

Wow. Only these words could come out of my mouth when coming to this place. I have been rock climbing for years now, and the second I stepped into this gym, I was disgraced, insulted and was spoken to extremely rudely. First off, the employee didn't even want to give me my own equipment because they did not believe I had ever rock climbed before and made it obvious that they felt I was not physically able to. I am in better shape and more physically fit than 85% of the people there. I swear these employees were sexist. Not once, but 3 times was...Read More

I just had my sons 7th Birthday party here and the facility and staff are awesome. My son and 13 of his friends climbed for an hour and half, then they were able to have some pizza and cup cakes in the spacious event room. Great place!

Not once, but 3 times was I asked if I knew how to belay and hold somebody, because I am a teenage girl. When I had asked somebody a question later on, I was insulted by the person telling me that they would not help me because it would be "illegal" to answer her question because what I was asking was supposed to be learned in the class, which I did take before. So I was supposed to pay an extra $15 to take a class I already took, just for a simple question that could be answered with a yes or no? Well do you know what should be illegal? Employees discriminating against the fact that I am a teenage girl, and all they did was insult me, and think that I was an incompetent fool. I was even approached by a worker while on the floor asking if I even knew what I was doing. It would be different if they politely asked if you needed help but instead I was talked to rudely and felt unwelcomed. Even the "regulars" who go there are rude. Do not go to the Worcester Gym.
