Where are we going today?
Old Gippstown is an 1850s experience which spans scenic parkland and several historical buildings including general store, dress making shop and blacksmith's forge, all authentically stocked.
A period doctors' surgery and jail are also available for touring, plus the Tynong Theatre at which one may view black and white shorts or newsreels on request.
The site also features The Coach House, one of Victoria's premier collections of vintage horse drawn vehicles, and a variety of agricultural and industrial machinery is displayed.

Any Top Tips?
Apparently there's a 'ghost' in the jail, presumably a fabric one, you may wish to be aware of this with very small children..

Old Gippstown is a fantastic venue for a number of reasons. Not only does it capture the heritage and culture of the pioneering days of Gippsland, it is also a very unique backdrop for a large number of events from car shows, to exhibitions, to weddings and to gatherings. And if you are looking for somewhere to meet up with a group of people, to enjoy some delicious food, then try out the Old Gippstown Cafe!
