My Wife and I stayed at this Caravan Park in early April, we enjoyed our few days we stayed there, but we budgeted by the prices on their website for a Powered site but however when we went to pay for our time there we were told that because it was School holidays it was slightly more expensive than informed about. this was the only problem that we had with this Park, the staff were friendly and courteous and very helpful. The amenities were clean and tidy.
We also stayed at the end of April early May on the way back to QLD.We had no problems then...Read More

2 issues we had staying at this resort over the melbourne cup weekend. Major issue was when we checked in after paying 1 nights deposit in full and was sent a detailed invoice for the outstanding amount for the other 3 nights booked. I was told by staff that I owed over $100 more than what the invoice said. They informed me that their prices had gone up since my booking. Then they showed me tiny fine print on the email they sent saying "prices may increase without notice". After refusing to pay following their little price increase scam they...Read More

We were fortunate to find accommodation at The Gold Nugget recently. The facilities provided were fantastic! Our kids were rarely underfoot as they were totally entertained by games, Internet, TV, jumping pillow, swimming and many other activities. The park was extremely well maintained and peaceful. The management were extremely professional and customer focussed. If you require accommodation in Bendigo I would highly recommend the Gold Nugget. My family and I were very impressed.

well they have this review system in place for a reason and I should of taken the time to read them. Cabin was like it was from a 3rd world country with windows and doors that didn't lock. Also owners that are only interested in your $$$ and will try and charge you more than quoted so beware and then there's the help or maybe I think its best not to ask because you will be told if you don't like it look else ware. My advise to you is avoid this place at all costs unless you cannot find alternative accommodation but on the other hand to sleep in...Read More

We also stayed at the end of April early May on the way back to QLD.We had no problems then and the same clean amenities existed there. I would recommend this park to all travellers. But just check the time of the year when some times the costs could be slightly higher. Cheers!!!

Then they showed me tiny fine print on the email they sent saying "prices may increase without notice". After refusing to pay following their little price increase scam they told me to find other accomodation in Bendigo if I wanted to. I had no choice, being the long weekend most accomodation was booked out, and my family was already staying in the park. This episode left a sour taste for the remainder of our stay, no warning of the increase in price, it was pay or leave.

The other issue was that they advertise free wifi thoughout the tourist park - the problem was that signal was virtually non existent. When we did connect, had to wait about 2 minutes for a basic web page to load so it was a waste of time. Then when asking to use their broadband in the games room, found that it was not working and was told there was no connection.
