What is there to do?

Parents, are you ready to get your kids away from the video games and show them a new world of adventure? We're off to Petra Cliffs Climbing Center, and they certainly know how to have fun!

Indoor rock climbing is great fun for kids, because it's safe, keeps them fit and healthy, improves their strength and coordination and challenges them to achieve new things!

At Petra Cliffs, they have climbing and bouldering for all ages and abilities, with routes that range from 5.5 to 5.13. All of the routes are color coded based on difficulty, so you can keep track of exactly what level you are working on.

Also at Petra Cliffs is a VIP ropes course, as well as an area to hang out and rest, or perhaps catch up with friends! If you really want to challenge yourselves, check out the high ropes course too!

Even if you are a first time climber, they have plenty of options for you, so just speak to staff about the best way to start. They are there to help!

If you want more than just the day pass climbing, their kids programs are taught by caring educators wishing to share their excitement for the outdoors. Their youth programs challenge, educate, build self-confidence and develop leadership skills.

Their programs are also a great place to make friends and have fun in a safe and controlled environment. Sounds pretty fun to us!

So you will be climbing up the walls, literally, at Petra Cliffs Climbing Center, so what are you waiting for? It's time to CLIMB!

Any top tips?

Wear sneakers! They have climbing shoes for rent, but typically, kids climb just fine in sneakers.

I’m Hungry!

There are lots of cafes and lunch spots in the area, close to downtown Burlington and right off the bike path near Lake Champlain.
