About this activity

The Birds of Vermont Museum is all about, well birds of Vermont, and it's fascinating!

During your visit at the museum, you can view life-size, accurate woodcarvings of birds, and even a few plants and mammals as well.

The woodcarvings depict the state's nesting species in their natural habitats, as well as North America's endangered and extinct species, so it's a really great learning experience for the kids!

They can learn about birds, their habitats as well as the environments the live in. They can also observe woodcarvers at work, and find out more about carving tools and techniques.

It is a bird museum, so of course you can watch live birds through their viewing windows! Here you can find out what foods and feeders work well for different species, and even stop into the gift shop!

They also have demonstrations, children's activities, bird walks, and other fun programs, so be sure to check their schedule and find out more!
